I called to make a reservation on the morning of my stay, and specifically asked if the pool was open and in use that day, and was told it was. We made the drive there with my kids for an afternoon at the pool. What they dont tell you is that the Splash water park next door trains their new hire life guards in this hotels pool, for hours on end. The pool was used for training 10 adult life guards into the evening and swimming was not allowed except for a small area in the shallows where the children were repeatedly cannonball splashed by dramatic repeated jumps by the new hires. Small children were splashed endlessly in a postage stamp sized area roped off in the pool by their trainees until we had to leave, it was ridiculous. That evening the hotel hosted a rowdy event with people partying all over the hotel and into the hallway late in the night, away from the event in the room blocks, security was non existent, and in the morning beer cans were everywhere, hallway, elevator, decorative plants, it was like an egg hunt for my youngest. At checkout I told the front day manager about my concerns regarding the pool bait and switch and she was dismissive and in a rush, and said I had to call the owner, which I did, three times with no call back or response, so here I am posting on google. If you have kids who want to use the pool, this isnt the place, families are put on the back burner for training activities of the splash park next door, and if you have a family that wants a nights sleep, forget about it.

It's on the dated side but the location and legitimate on-site gym are excellent. It's a 3 start hotel with a 5 star gym. The breakfast eggs are the absolute worst I've ever had though.
