They work hard but I don't like loud, gas powered machinery. I don't use this company  but some of my neighbors do. I wish they'd go electric. Use a rake and brooms. Mulch leaves. Compost. I gave them 2 stars instead of zero or one because I respect small businesses.

They should shut off their blowers when someone approaches and wear protection for ears eyes and nose.  I don't like gas powered mowers and leaf blowers at all and hope his business will transition over to greener quieter methods as many communities and states have required. I live next door to one of his clients and got super pissed off when my right for "peaceful enjoyment" of my yard and home was greatly disturbed by seven of his machines working for three hours. They started in the fall when new owners bought the two properties next to me. David Rockefeller used to own them and never used anything but one mulching low emission mower. In fact his landscaper for his estate lived in one of the homes and they used rakes on the estate! Central Park doesn't use these devilish machines. I left the company a long phone message and sent one email with some noise ordinance telling him the reasons why the machines were harmful to the health of humans, animals and the earth itself. I did my research. He went to Mt Pleasant police and a particular Sargent whom I have reason to believe is a buddy of the owner, threatened to charge me with harassment if I contacted his business or approached his workers again. I went to get the report and it said I berated the workers and sent him several emails when I only sent one. Don't let the police tell you there are no noise ordinances by the way. You have to dig deep for them but noise from construction can't measure more than 65 decibels from a property line. One leaf blower works at 70 to 100 decibels. Seven of them really messed up my day which began in a reverent and grateful mood. Why am I not allowed to get my work done? Those things are like weapons. It took me less than an hour to rake a property not much smaller, if at all, then the properties in question. They were making a huge toxic mess with noise, dust and exhaust blowing everywhere. The little boy who lives there has asthma. His parents, tenants, told the owner he wanted to tend to the property himself but the man in charge didn't get to Cutting Edge soon enough I guess. I am so angry that the gentle emergence of Spring was so accosted. None of the workers spoke English and I had to walk through them with their machines pointing at me and going on my property. They are supposed to turn them off is someone is within a 50 foot radius. I did not berate them as the owner, who was not there, reported. I just wanted to find someone in charge to speak to them. I have a lot of respect for these guys that come up from Mexico and Central America to work but not if they will risk their own health and that of mine and my family lowering the high standards that EPA/OSHA/and NIOSHA has set for our safety.

Based on other reviews, I had high hopes for this company. But I never had the opportunity to evaluate their work, because they couldn't do something as simple as return a phone call. I get that we're all busy. And they might be the best landscapers in the history of landscaping. They might be to ornamental plants what Michelangelo was to the Sistene Chapel, but I'll never find out ... because they couldn't be bothered to make a simple phone call. That's disappointing.

Cutting Edge Landscaping does amazing work I had them do a bunch of work on the outside of my House. They put up a new fence in my backyard and also fixed the retaining wall that was holding it up. while there John the owner noticed that  my driveway needed resealing and told me that he could do that for me, the driveway came out great! about 1 month later I need some tree trimming and a couple cut down. guess who I called? and guess who gave me a reasonable quote to do the work....
