This place is overpriced and terrible to be in because its cluttered and the staff is mean and overbearing. Its laughable that this place is affiliated with a church or any sort of charity based on how much they want to rip their customers off.

such a scam. dont come here the woman with the short grey hair and australian accent is incredibly rude. she wouldnt let me return a ruined belt that she sold me minutes before and got quite aggressive and said that i was arguing with her even though i just asked to return since she printed me a receipt. never once did she inform me that things were non returnable while checking out (i expected it to be returnable since she gave me a receipt.) never coming back here again. she refused to give me my money back. this place has good clothes and would be so much better with a different manager. (assuming that shes a manager)

This is not a thrift shop. Its a museum of discarded items, a storage unit open to the public, or perhaps an eclectic subversive art installation and the price tags are part of a socio-economic commentary. Stop in to see the insane prices, then head to Housing Works a few blocks north at 245 W 10th Street to shop. Thats my usual routine. I stop in every 6 months or so and the inventory is always the same but the prices dont change. There are a couple of items I recall that have been there for at least 18 months! First saw them 10-2022, still there 2/2024. If donated items dont sell, then no money is generated for the charity. People donate items here hoping to help the church. The reality is the church is wasting valuable real estate in the MOST EXPENSIVE NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE CITY to store other peoples junk. The church should donate all this junk to goodwill and rent the space at full market rate to a real business and use that rental income to help the church!!! Thousands of people walk by daily with money to spend and this place is wasting their opportunity! The manager seems to think she is running a high end vintage shop and the prices are non-negotiable! The prices far exceed any vintage shop in the city, and the quality is lower than Goodwill! Screaming Mimis on 14th is an high priced for-profit vintage shop and their prices are lower!! *another reviewer mentioned a $2,500 fur coat, I saw that coat yesterday! I bought a higher quality mink coat in at a Red Bank NJ antique mall for less than $200 a few weeks ago.

Thrift store or upscale luxury boutique? These prices are eye watering. Let people have a deal thats what Jesus would have wanted.

Ok I guess the shop is quite misleading. I was ecstatic to stumble upon an unlikely looking thrift shop was we know New York is filled with them and well combed over. Since I saw it was donation based and for a church, I thought there would be reasonable deals. But a fur coat cost 2500 which is just wild. New York thrift is expensive but this felt arbitrary? The people working there however seem nice.
