image Dr. Chu gave me my quality of life back.
During 7-8 months of chronic migraines, I would randomly experience dizziness, extreme fatigue, light and sound sensitivity, and blurred vision. During these 2-3 day episodes, I was unable to work, socialize, or really function.
After listening to me and asking questions, Dr. Chu correctly diagnosed me with occipital neuralgia. After a quick treatment, I have been symptom free for over a month. I cannot describe the relief I feel waking up every day feeling healthy.
I have never had such a good experience with a doctor. Dr. Chu takes time to answer your questions and concerns and does not make you feel rushed. He is extremely skilled and patient. Highly recommend.

image Dealing with Dr. Chu & his office has been a nightmare. On my most recent visit, I traveled from 105th Street to his offices near Union Square only to find out he & his office made a scheduling error & that he wasnt there. Also, I did this trip with horrible headaches which he, up until this point, hasnt helped me with.
I shouldve known better, I shouldve seen this coming when on my first visit I got to sit outside the offices for almost half an hour as he waited for someone with the keys to arrive & unlock the door. Or the time they scheduled a Telehealth, then cancelled it, then rescheduled it.
He may be a good doctor to some, but he has no idea how to operate a business or treat patients who are already going through a lot & dont need even more pain & frustration in their lives.

image For years I've tried to manage my hip, knee, and back pain and dysfunction, saw probably over 50 providers in nyc, but finally found my most success with Dr David Chu and his acupuncture. I had a iatrogenic/botched surgery that really deformed the way I walked and functioned, so my hip labral tear and discs were always inflamed. Dr Chu has some of the best bedside manner and knowledge I've seen in orthopedics and really wants to understand the whole picture before giving treatment, which is so important. To me, an MD who administers acupuncture shows the flexibility, scope, and belief to try all conservative measures to manage chronic pain. After all the sessions I've had, I've built up such a great doctor-patient trust that I needed and really know how to approach my weeks to minimize my pain. I do not exaggerate when I say meeting Dr Chu changed my life, considering how I couldn't even leave the house before..
An obvious 5 star endorsement from me.
