If I could give zero stars I would. Beware, the owner is rarely at the NYC location, but the scheduling system will allow you to book an appointment. When you call the telephone number on the website, it gets routed to their LA office. I went for an appointment twice and the owner wasn't there. I had spoken with three different reps and each hedged and couldn't tell me why nobody was answering the door. They said they "urgently paged" him while I waited for over an hour. Finally, Jessica informed me he was out of town. When leaving the building, the receptionist was shaking her head stating this happens so often to so many customers. How is this place in business!! Do yourself a favor, just head to Bleeker Trading. Staff are friendly, you don't need an appointment and most of all, they are PRESENT!

The staff at Hobbyist were not only passionate about their craft, but also highly knowledgeable about the various items in their inventory. They took the time to understand interests and provided valuable insights into the rare cards I was seeking.
Overall, I highly recommend Hobbyist to anyone looking for a sophisticated and personalized shopping experience. Their commitment to quality and customer service is truly unmatched.
