FRAUD. Tim allegedly unethically Posts Scam Unavailable apartments & keeps unavailable apartments Actively listed to mislead customers with Bait n' Switch to get people to contact him so he can allegedly get their Money for other deals? Nothing makes sense other than it is completely unethical to keep posting fraudulent listings of beautiful apartments that are not even available and or internationally keeping unavailable ones listed. Bad business. --Ruth Bloomberg

Tim Brassil was very professional and responsive throughout the entirety of the process - from showing the unit to signing the lease. I asked many questions and he never failed to get back to me with a timely and comprehensive response. Everything was done within the span of a few days. I would recommend Tim to anyone looking for an apartment in New York City.

I left multiple emails and called and received no response. The apartments I was interested were rented out, and I never even got to see them.

We had a horrible experience dealing with this company, they asked for sensitive information by e-mail as if it wasn't a big deal. With scams and identity theft at an all time high, this should be a priority with any company managing sensitive information. I e-mailed the broker Tim Brassil asking if the company had a security portal we could upload the required documents as I was concerned with managing this kind of information over e-mail. Well I didn't receive an immediate response, so I assumed it was just due to the demand the business may bring. The e-mail to Tim was sent on a Wednesday and we didn't get a response until Friday. The documents were sent in an e-mail response Monday in which he immediately replied with sarcasm, incorrect information, & 0 empathy. There's no way Tim is not a part owner for this management company, because I've dealt with thousands of professionals with larger sums of money and NEVER have I seen such a lack of professionalism, empathy, and customer service. There's no way this may is employed handling any client in such manner. It took all of 1 minute to find long list of bad experiences for this individual, so clearly this isn't a one-off. TIm's e-mail response was the follwing: Hi All, Seeing as how sending sensitive information was concerning for you, inquiring about the apartment's availability a week after asking for an application should have been confirmed before sending those same documents. This apartment has been rented. Your email with your information will be deleted. Best of luck in your search. Best, Tim Brassil

ZERO EMPATHY, NO SENSE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, EGOCENTRIC, BELITTLING, AND THREATENING. There are tons of apartments available in N.Y.C., and it is a renters market. Avoid Tim Brassil and his company (Village Living Rentals) at all costs, and go elsewhere! Its fascinating to me that, as I scan through Tims reviews, they are either 5 or 1, nothing in between. Unfortunately for him, I am about to add another 1 Observing the pattern of how Tim responds to unflattering reviews, Ill try to be as detailed and accurate as I can be, so that when Tim tries to refute it (most likely by maligning me), you can be the judge. Human beings like to talk to other human beings, especially in an emotional-type of transaction such as real estate. Yet when it comes to Tim, he curiously does not publish his telephone number, and instead demands that the customer work everything through email. That should have been the first red flag. In fact, when I emailed him and asked him to call me, after leaving countless messages on his telephonemail, it took two full days until he called me back, after I emailed him again that I was ready to walk away from pursuing the transaction any further. When we finally got to speak, we negotiated, and I asked him to bring a serious offer to the landlord (just as he recommends on his blog page). He committed to do so and to call me back within one day. Three days elapsed, until I finally called him on my own and then he responded (with no apology). In the end, I sent him the completed application on 6/23/2021 (I had sent all requested documents previously), and asked for his confirmation of receipt. He confirmed the next morning, and committed to process that application later in the morning. Five days passed with no word from him, despite my calls. Finally, I was ready to move on, and I let him know. Suddenly, like magic, he approved my application. This was on 6/28/2021 in the afternoon. Then he requested the following: certified checks, notarized, documents, triple signed documents by all renters in hardcopy and demanded that all these documents be sent overnight, by 6/30/2021, for a 7/1/2021 lease. When I asked for a reasonable reprieve until 7/11/2021 to start the rental, since (especially being out of state) we needed more time to get everything he asked for (given that we have fulltime jobs, and it required numerous visits to banks, notaries, getting all the renters physically together), plus we now needed to arrange moving (we naturally werent going to do that until we got approved), he emailed me back that it did not matter, and we needed to give him an answer by end of day, or else he threatened to reject us, and suddenly claimed that the rental price was already raised by $200 for the other units in the building (untrue, as I verified on real estate internet sites) I called him to discuss, in a calm voice (which Tim will probably dispute, since I see that is his modus operandi, by accusing the victim of always being the rude party, in his review responses). I suggested that the situation was somewhat unfair, given that he himself delayed a total of ten days, five most recently after I sent the completed application, and only told us at the eleventh hour that we were approved, 1.25 days before the lease was scheduled to start. I appealed to his decency and asked him to put himself in my position, and to give us ten more days to get everything finalized. His rude response was, I dont have time for this; I am too busy. He then shockingly disconnected me. I called him back, assuming positive intent that it was an accident, and he has never answered my call since. Tim will probably respond with his usual spiel, trying to disparage me and make him out like a saint yet I have all the emails to prove his lapses in response, as well as his threatening attitude at the end game. Perhaps Tim should conduct himself as a person of integrity and honor in the first place, rather than have to try to defend himself after the fact in all these negative reviews.
