Dr. Julia Samton and her team at The Midtown Practice have provided invaluable counseling to many of our employees. Our relationship with The Midtown Practice began during the pandemic when so many people were struggling with health and mental wellness. The Midtown Practice made it easy for all of our employees to access exceptional psychiatrists and therapists in a confidential manner. Our employees value this unique healthcare benefit so much that it helped contribute to Urban Edge Properties being awarded One of the Best Places to Work in the State of New Jersey by NJBIZ Magazine. As with many families during the COVID-19 crisis, we found ourselves with two overwhelmed young teens. Our major concern was finding a suitable provider for a child entering high school. We had sought out referrals from our pediatricians who were not helpful and just sent a name & phone number. We used our insurance website, not helpful. We looked on ZocDoc, not helpful. The referrals were often not centrally located and had no website or info to get to know them or when we did connect were not the right fit for our child or weren't accepting new patients. We were finally introduced to Dr. Julia Samton, one of the founders of The Midtown Practice through a mutual acquaintance. What a difference a year+ makes! We discussed our needs as a family and now happily and successfully work with their Child & Adolescent care team, specifically Chrissie Brewer, PMHNP and Allie Eisenberg. I recommend connecting with their clinical coordinator to discuss your child's/families needs and whether a Psychiatrist or Therapist (or both!) would be best suited for your individual situation. Billing is timely and easily submitted for reimbursement. My only regret is that we didn't find their practice sooner.

I stumbled upon The Midtown Practice by chance by booking an appointment with Christina Hollingsworth through ZocDoc. This was over two years ago, and I'm so so glad I found her. She is informative, understanding, and kind when I approach her with questions and updates about what I'm dealing with. She makes prescriptions + refills an easy process, and is readily available when I email her with something. We switched to online appointments during the COVID-19 pandemic and it was a smooth and easy transition - I was nervous about meeting over video chat but it couldn't have been easier. Building trust with medical professionals is important, and I trust Christina entirely with her treatment. So thankful for her and The Midtown Practice. I feel lucky to have found them!

What a waste of time these guys made me wait four days for an appointment to see if I would be good for them they were three hours late to the appointment and even though the email to this provider specifically said PTSD, their own internal email to connect me with their counselor said PTSD; and this counselor says shes not qualified enough to treat me for PTSD.
so why did she make that appointment?
what a waste of time
unprofessional
Why would you make an appointment to tell me youre not gonna treat me ?

As a pediatrician I refer to the child team at Midtown Practice frequently. Their attention to detail and care for our patients has been phenomenal. I highly recommend Chrissie Brewer, their NP, if you are in need of mental health support for your child.
