I'm William. I needed help gathering some information about family. JPI helped a lot because I had poor social skills. JPI provided observations and notes in a very organized fashion. JPI even helped me during the December 2023 holiday weekend and I did not press for results because I wanted JPI to enjoy her holidays with family first and foremost. I was charged 150$ for an hour of personalized service. Rates for preselected services or listed services on the JPI website may be different.

Julia Perry was a lot more respectful and understanding than any private investigator I've communicated with. I never talked with a private investigator before. When looking for one, I came across ones who mostly were asking for an attormey or who were worried about false accusations. Some investigator seemed outright rude and made fun of my poor speaking skills. But Julia was different. She was a lot more understanding and respectful than other investigators. The only thing that I regret with Julia is not paying her more. I had promised to pay 600$ but before we had formally started any investigation, I had done some Googling and found a lot about the suspect. I was very surprised! I honestly didn't think the suspect would be so careless to leave such digital footprints. But then again, I knew a lot about the suspect because I have a hobby of knowing friends and family very very well. Had the suspect been more careful and had I been more careless, things would've been very different. So I had to cancel our investigation before we even started, which was disappointing. I would've loved to work with her. But again, I will still pay her for her time reading my emails. Now I could've pretended to not know anything about the suspect, have Julia investigate the suspect, and compare our investigations. But that would've been disrespectful as well as a waste of Julia's time. Such comparison would've also been unfair because I knew a lot about the suspect before going to Google. Judging from the reactions of other investigators, my investigation also seemed a bit risky. The suspect has a history of working with a lawyer, so an investigator would've had to been very careful to avoid any lawsuit. Unlike movies that I've watched during childhood, private investigators aren't as legally powerful as police detectives, so they are pretty much as legally vulnerable as any other nonpolice entity. While I did not want to cancel my investigation with her, I could not think of any substantial investigation that would not compromise Julia's legal safety. So I decided to cancel instead of have her go offline and collect information on foot. I would definitely go to Julia again for future investigations. As a previous investigator suggested, I should do my own thorough investigation beforehand. Canceling an investigation is disrespectful and embarassing, especially when the investigator did nothing wrong. I am happy that I had designed my investigation to be flexible and lax for her, but things would have been more different if I had appointed her for a next-day in-person surveillance and then canceled. In that latter scenario, she would have lost a lot of work hours and money. There seem to be very few licensed investigators available, especially ones who are understanding and respectful like Julia. I definitely would recommend her.
