They exploit their workers and dont pay them on time which makes painters not show up to work on time and delay the project. I had one painter at my place when I was told there would be two and that took longer than it should have been. Because I wanted the job to be done quickly, the one painter didnt really think about quality so many edges were painted that should not have been but again, he was rushed because he was doing it on his own Service: Interior painting

My initial impression of Bearricade painters was very positive. Josue was very professional over the phone and was quick to reply to my emails. Unfortunately, the quality of work done and slow follow-up are why Ive given this business a two-star rating. Some specifics: 1) pricing: Josue and I negotiated prices and eventually landed on $1,350 for the job. He sent over the contract for me to sign, and Im glad I checked it first, because the price was over $1,600. When asked about this discrepancy, he said that they had miscalculated something in the first draft of the quote and had to revise (but note that they never told me this until I called them out on it). Given the positive reviews, I decided to overlook this and book them anyways at the higher price. 1) poor work quality: the two painters who worked on my apartment were sloppy and were clearly rushing, as evidenced by the photos Ive attached. I made them come back to fix the issues, which they did begrudgingly, and only after I called Josue to explain the issue. To facilitate the paint error fixing process, I stuck sticky notes next to every area that needed attention, and there were over 80 such areas. As it turns out, the painters did not use primer, nor did they wipe down the walls prior to painting. As a non-painter I naively thought this was fine, but when less than two weeks later a 2 piece of paint flaked off, I did some research and realized they had completely failed to follow basic painting practices. I called and texted Josue with pictures immediately. He said he would get back to me to review my photos and address the issue, and that was the last I heard from him for several weeks. He eventually got back to me and sent someone over to fix the paint job, and for what its worth they did a decent job. That said, it shouldnt have taken 4-5 weeks for them to make things right. While their prices are fairly decent, you really do get what you pay for with Bearricade (which in my case was sloppy, unprofessional workers and reluctance to make things right).
