        I recently had a total knee replacement surgery done by Dr James Gladstone at Mount Sinai Hospital, spending two days at the hospital and follow-up care in my home provided by Visiting Nurse Service. Dr Gladstone is friendly, accessible, communicating everything that was going on. While I would not say that this type of surgery is a walk on the beach, the whole process has been positive, with all of the staff with whom I interacted (doctors, nurses, aides, therapists, social worker, cleaners, food service folks) extremely helpful, caring, and friendly.
