I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Michael Smith and his team at Rothman Orthopedics. When my sports medicine physician, Dr. Craig Feuerman, diagnosed spinal stenosis, he suggested that I speak with several surgeons. I found Dr. Smith to be very kind and interested in my issues. He studied all my tests and did more of his own. Then he was quite positive about what should be done. His confidence was a great comfort to my husband and me. At the time of writing, Im still in the early stage of recovery from the surgery but everything points to success. Dr. Smiths PA Mackenzie Cooke and his clinical assistant Dana Schlossberg were both helpful beyond words. I had a lot of questions along the way and both assistants responded immediately with knowledge and compassion.

I can't rave enough about Dr. Hrubes at Rothman Othopaedic. Our 17 year old son moved to New York city for dance training an on arrival discovered he'd brought a back injury with him. We were able to get an appointment with Dr. Hrubes quickly and she walked us through the process of getting him evaluated and getting him the help he needed with care, compassion and excellent communication. She coordinated with the team in his dance program, the physical therapist she helped us find and any of the external services we required (MRI in our case). It was a tough way for a teen to start professional dance training, but she walked him through it all and, in spite of the severity of the injury, our son was able to follow instructions and carefully heal and strengthen while continuing to learn and grow. He's now almost back to 100% participation and Dr. Hrubes is still involved overseeing progress. As a parent on the other side of the country we are grateful for her and her office's service and compassionate approach to this challenging scenario.
