5 stars earned with an insightful diagnosis after the knee pain returned with a vengeance. When the pictured swelling made walking painful and difficult, I scheduled a visit with Dr. Sameer Dixit as soon as possible. In advance of the in-person exam, he reviewed x-rays and MRI to identify any potential injuries causing the effusion. During the meeting, he proposed a diagnosis other medical professionals had not considered, sent me for bloodwork, and proved the diagnosis quicker than expected. Communication was excellent, but most importantly, by correctly identifying the affliction, the care I received at HSS helped provide me timely treatment to alleviate the issue.
I first scheduled a visit with HSS in December after experiencing intermittent knee pain, what I thought might be early arthritis. By the time I had my first appointment with Dr. Dixit, the knee pain and presentation were gone and I asked to pivot the consult to an exploration of damage in the wrist. He was extremely informative on the first visit, interactions with the hospital and their patient portal were premium and seamless, and I walked out with confidence that this would be a great place for any serious presenting issues in joints, muscles, and bones.

This is a great facility. Its new modern with a great staff. People are friendly and welcoming which when dealing with pain and injury is a big plus in making you comfortable. My Dr. is Benedict Nwachukwu. I highly recommend him if you're dealing with knee pain. He is patient and will answer all your questions

Top HSS orthopedic surgeons, immaculate new offices and spacious PT/rehab center with the best new top of the line equipment - plus a convenient west side location. What’s not to like? Surgeon offices are right upstairs from PT - my surgeon came down yesterday while I was in PT to check my recovery and progress. Physical therapists are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, accessible, etc. This is where top athletes go to get repaired by the best surgeons in the game, recover and get back on the field! I couldn’t be happier with this new setup and would recommend the surgeons, PT staff and entire facility to anyone. HSS is perennially ranked #1 in ortho for a reason - this is just another reason why.
