        Where do I begin with Dr. Demetracopoulos. Hands down this man is a true act. His kindness, his mannerism and just all around amazing doctor. I have been dealing with foot and ankle pain for over 7 years. I have seen 4 different surgeons and 8 foot doctors. When I met Dr. D last year I knew right away he was going to perform my surgery. Can't thank him enough for getting me through this tough time.

        I am 74 with both OA & RA in my left ankle for over 5 years. This caused me to go from a 5 mile a day brisk walker to needing a cane or walker to go even 10 feet. Dr D performed total ankle replacement on 7/29/22 - now after just 13 weeks I can comfortably walk 4 miles at a 20 minute pace. Dr D, his staff and everyone at HSS made the entire process an excellent experience.

        Dr. D was great on all fronts, ranging from understanding (not in a patronizing manner) my frustration with having to deal with a really bad ankle, clearly articulating everything from both the upside as well as downside, to allowing me to chat him up in the staging area just before the surgery. Special shout out to his team, whove been fantastic on all fronts and very patient with me.
