I recently had a consultation at GVOS and found out I needed oral surgery. I was psyched they were able to do it immediately but I wasn't mentally prepared for surgery. The folks who work there took care of me like family. They were incredibly warm and spent time to chat with me and help me chill out. Dr. Leo was great and I felt no pain. Thank you so much.

I had a very straight forward, informed, safe, confident experience with Dr. Leo Paige, and Leanne, one of the office dental assistants. As someone whose uncle was his dentist his whole life, I have always been comfortable in a dentist's office. They made me just as comfortable and confidant that the care they were providing me would better my quality of life. They sat me down and made sure to build a rapport with me so I was comfortable. They articulated the pros and cons of the procedure I needed. Everything was quick and efficient like a well oiled operation should be. They executed carefully and were very considerate about my sensitivity to pain. Tbh I don't think there is a better experience to ask for if you need to see an oral surgeon lol. Dr. Paige provides his cell phone number for any emergency need you may need post operation, which attests to the care and service he and the office seeks to provide for people that come under their care. If I ever have a need for an oral surgeon in Manhattan, Dr. Paige and the Greenwich Village oral Surgery office is the place I will go first.

Felt compelled to write a review since I'd seen a few of the intensively negative ones here that actually had me nervous about my appointment. A few days ago, a wisdom tooth started causing me a lot of discomfort. I ignored it and just popped a lot of Aspirin and Tylenol, until finally, a couple of days ago, I couldn't take it anymore. I called all around the city and couldn't find anyone. Finally called my dentist and got a referral to Greenwich Village Oral Surgery. I called them, and a very nice receptionist was able, to my surprise, to get me in for a 9am appointment the next morning. Some of the negative reviews here had me nervous, but I didn't see that I had other options. I showed up and was quickly taken in for an x-ray. Dr. Levy introduced himself. Seemed like a perfectly nice guy, shook my hand. When I got into the chair, he came in and talked a bit about what we were going to be doing. I have a lot of issues with my teeth, I'm embarrassed of them. I always feel the need to apologize to dentists, but he shrugged and said they looked like a healthy set. I really appreciated that. Otherwise, everything went normally. It wasn't my idea of a good time, obviously, but I was thoroughly numbed and Dr. Levy constantly, throughout the procedure, asked if I was okay. I never felt any pain. Afterwards, he thanked me for being a good patient. So I'll definitely be going back there for any future needs, unhesitatingly. I think oral surgery, at its best, is not fun, so some of the negative reviews probably reflect that. And in terms of his bedside manner, Dr. Levy doesn't seem like the sort of guy to crack a joke and give you a hug, but he was perfectly nice, considerate, and professional.

I have a very bad dental phobia !! I need to use IV Sedation for all procedures and was very leery trying this place but it came highly recommended. Dr. Leo Paige was absolutely amazing with me making me feel calm and relaxed. Dr. Levy overlooked the IV Sedation and before I knew it, my procedure was over. The nurse was great too.

My young daughter was just treated by Dr Paige for a broken tooth that needed to be extracted. The experience was overall TERRIBLE. Despite the medication, my daughter was in pain and afraid, and the doctor's reaction was (on top of bringing a few nurses to hold her down) to scream at her and my wife, complaining that she "wasn't behaving well". When a child is in pain there are better ways to defuse the situation. I don't know if the anesthetics should have been managed differently, but it's certainly not an experience we want to go through ever again. Don't send your children there!
