Cohen's Fashion Optical

I had an optician refract my eyes there, but then had the glasses made at Warby Parker which has conveniently opened two blocks down Broadway. When the glasses came back they were incorrect. WP checked the prescription and did a test suggesting that the Rx magnification was off and I should go back to the optician and have it adjusted, a minor issue according to them. They (WP) offered to remake the glasses free of charge - even though it was not their error. Cohen's on the other hand was rude, nasty and refused to make any changes without trying to rip me off for $80.00 for a completely new examination. They simply insisted the Rx must be correct because it was very similar to my former prescription - what sort of reasoning is that exactly? Why get a new Rx if it's the same as the old one? The glasses don't work and I will have Warby Parker optician re do the Rx at my own cost and never go near Cohen's again - but they won't be there long anyway with Warby Parker doing brisk business down the street and treating a customer decently. Do yourself a favor Columbia community and stay away from these crooks.

The sign on the door says it's open from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Sundays. Online, it says it opened at 11:00 AM. It's 12:33 & it's closed. Harlem, man. They get you every time.

This place is unprofessional the eye doctor has a mask on pulled down under his nose examining patients in small room its HORRIBLE with the the productivity and if you dont no no better with your insurance they will try to rip u off

I rarely leave reviews but felt compelled to write one as the reviews for this Cohens location make literally no sense - this location is GREAT. I received fantastic service from the moment I walked through the door, and the staff went out of their way to help me get an immediate appointment / prescription in very short notice for an emergency. Great spot and highly recommend for your vision needs.
