Lorin is a very talented make up artist. She made me look beautiful on my wedding day by highlighting my eyes and cheek bones and minimizing a small facial scar. I liked her work so much that i hired her for a work event where she gave make up lessons and did make up for our small team Everyone loved this and were excited to show off their beautiful faces! Lorin is creative, patient and understands clients' needs - try her!

I dont like her Makeup And Hairstyles that much because she ruined my hairstyle and make up. And at the end she made me upset and cried. She doesnt has any correct foundation with my skin tone and she do the make up and hairstyle in the restroom. She make my skin tone darker in the Photographing. I keep asking her to make my skin tone Brighter, and she made my skin tone darker. I paid for this $300 for the appointment. When I came to her appointment, she keeps telling me that like she have another appointment and she keeps getting frustrated with my make up and hairstyle and she told me that another Make Up Appointment people paid a lot. I had a traditional Lengha dress. I keep telling her to Help me with the dress, and she keeps telling me that I dont have time to fix the dress. In my opinion, I think she need more Experience with the Makeup And Hairstyles and respect the people. All the time she was keep rushing with Makeup And Hairstyles. I wouldnt use her service again. Then when I came in to her appointment then she even did not make a grace faced a smile. I dont think any other Professional Make Up Artist they gonna take the customer to the restroom to do the make up that an awkward weird.

The best makeup artist in NYC. I am so grateful to have found Lorin Cole and cannot recommend her enough...I had a photoshoot during the muggy rain and despite the humidity, she made my skin look flawless.

My left eyebrow was destroyed by this makeup "artist." I had beautiful, thick brows before my appointment here. Lorin insisted that my brows had "crazy hairs" and "needed repair," and ripped off half of my left eyebrow. The end result is a classic 90s overtweezed tadpole brow. When I sent her a photo of my tattered brows afterwards, she accused me of misrepresenting her work, when her mistake is clear as day. She also did not have a foundation color matching my skintone. When I pointed this out to her, first she claimed my face is tan (lol no), then she told me that the color itself doesn't matter and I need to go to Sephora to find my color myself. Getting a personalized foundation match was one the very reasons I was paying for a $500 appointment. The lesson was conducted in a small bathroom which had a vanity chair in it. Makeup palettes were stacked up on the floor, and as she worked, Lorin stowed makeup in the sink, which struck me as exceptionally unsanitary. I cannot find any record of her having a cosmetology license. Also note that she also keeps cats in her apartment, which will present issues for anyone with allergies. Service: Clean makeup

My ruined brows: imgur.com/a/ZeuO3OTDuring a makeup lesson, Lorin tweezed off a large chunk of my eyebrow, removing my natural arch and nearly half of my eyebrow. I urged her to be extremely conservative with any hair removal, and this was the result The irony is that she explained that she needed to tweeze it, to "achieve symmetry" with the other brow - when the result is more asymmetrical than before. To add insult to injury, Lorin accused me of lying and "misrepresenting her work," when I'm forced to look at the result of her work every day when I look in the mirror.I've been diligently applying castor oil to my brow every day, but still have only half a brow after several weeks have passed. I am now confronting the prospect that my brow is permanently damaged.

Ms. Itu,Your appointment was booked for Dec 19, 2023, from 2:30-4:00PM, but you arrived at 4:06PM. My pricing rates are fixed across all of my clients, and I only mentioned my next appointment at 5:30PM to explain why your session would likely be shorter than 90 min. Other professional makeup artists might refuse to serve you once you have missed your appointment slot. With respect to the makeup issue, the crux of the matter is that you are a woman with a wheatish complexion who requested that I use a color palette meant for Caucasian women as the match for your skin tone. I removed the foundation that matched your skin tone to reapply a foundation that was actually three shades lighter than your skin, all because you said you wanted your skin to appear lighter (see Photo Exh. A). I even redid an entire eye makeup look at your request, and you said you were happy with your makeup and hair. I suggest that you provide the photos that your boyfriend took at the session or photos from your subsequent photoshoot to demonstrate how your makeup and hair were ruined and you were crying. On that note, you brought your boyfriend to my home without asking permission, which was highly inconsiderate. After I finished your makeup and hair, you threw your hair into a sloppy bun, went into my living room and started stripping down to your underwear. When I politely told you that I was past due to leave for my next appointment, you pulled out a multi-piece dress and told me you needed me to help you put it on, as well as provide pins, tie bows, pin scarves, button the dress, etc. You never told me that you expected me to dress you at your makeup session. As I am not a wardrobe stylist, I was not obligated to do so; however, despite your unreasonable request, I nonetheless went out of my way to make you happy. When I take on a private client for a one-on-one session in my home (a luxury Manhattan apartment), it is a bespoke, artisan makeup experience in a cozy and intimate setting. My marble bathroom is specifically designed for my work. (See Photo Exh. B,) (please note that my cats are kept in a separate area to accommodate clients with allergies).Additionally, 1.) I provided and applied eyelash extensions at no extra cost, 2.) your skin had an unusual number of blemishes that needed concealing, and 3.) we initially agreed that you would provide a blonde wig that I would style (see Photo Exh. C,) but you did not bring any wig and instead asked that I curl your natural hair. Your hair was considerably thin, brittle and required extra care and attention. Under normal circumstances these factors would be no issue and I am more than happy to perform. However, in this specific case I was under severe pressure to be punctual for my next client, and each of these factors took a significant amount of time. You never apologized for being extremely late. I was patient, polite and professional, and I obliged your every request. My professional accolades are too numerous to list here, but I welcome you to visit my website to review my body of work as a celebrity makeup artist. You left my residence at 5:35PM, over 90 minutes past your allotted booking time, and consequently I was an hour late for my next appointment. My next client had no choice but to start doing her own makeup for her event, and as a concession, I did not accept any payment. In closing, you should learn to appreciate the fact that there is no higher form of beauty than the truth.
