Dont usually do this but I have to share the experience I had tonight because Ive never had anything like it happen to me in New York. We were downstairs to watch the bands. At the end of the show they cut the last band off which was a downer for everyone. People were chanting one more song, in a fun way, then suddenly staff then got INCREDIBLY rude and aggressive towards me and my friends, yelling at us to get upstairs right away. We couldnt believe it - it went in a second from everyone having a great time to us feeling really threatened. I will never go back again.

I attempted to celebrate my two friend's birthday here. We came straight to the basement level and the vibe was great, service was great, music was great! My only complaint is the security guy at the door. I had friends visiting from Mexico so one of them was showing his INE ID which is pretty much accepted everywhere in NY night life places. However, the security guard refused the entrance to my friend. He told us we extrictly needed a passport or a NYC official ID. It was his birthday! We were really down and I asked the guy his name and he just acted rude. What a surprised my other birthday girl friend also showed the same type of ID earlier and she had no problem going in. I found ridiculous the moment when the security guard said we needed same ID as if we were taking a flight. It happened on Saturday night at around 2:30 am. The security guard on the left side of the entrance. He was discriminatory to my friend (man) and very rude to me. The place itself was great overall. Just don't hire guys who have issues with foreigners.
