I was entirely new to martial arts in general, but I always liked the idea of being able to defend myself using nothing but my mind and body. I chose to go with Jiu Jitsu just because it sounded kind of ominous so I called this school for more information and whether they had beginner’s Jiu Jitsu classes. I was in luck because they had! I didn’t know what to expect and the first lesson was a little awkward for me. Once I got to learn more, however, things changed. I really love it now and it has helped me cope with my anxiety attacks, too. I would recommend this Jiu Jitsu club with both hands!

When you live in New York, NY, you simply must know how to protect yourself. I had an odd feeling of insecurity each time I had to walk home from work because I knew I couldn’t really defend myself if I had to. This self defense club taught me everything I needed to know, and I really feel much stronger and more confident now.

I just love this place! I have a friend who’s been taking professional kendo training classes there for quite some time and I got pretty interested to give it a try. I had my first three lessons already and I must say the entire atmosphere is just really special. You will not go wrong with this club if you’re interested in martial arts.
