The Shape of Lies

Peggy is truly a gift. Found The Shape of Lies on a whim after looking up jewelry stores near me. Gave her a call, talked about what I was looking for, and we found a time for me to come in later the same day. She had an amazing display in the window, and additionally pulled a variety of pieces fitting what I wanted (a gift for my mom's birthday). Ended up staying a while, chatting, and of course buying something for myself and my boyfriend on top of the gorgeous gifts for mom. Her selection is vast - everything from 1950's deco glass to dainty necklaces like you'd find at any popular jeweler in the city. She is a true delight, an East Village staple, and let's hope she never leaves. I look forward to paying a visit whenever I need a gift - for myself or others. She's the one!

Absolutely the best experience Ive had in a long time. Peggy is beautiful and a lovely conversationalist. She found the perfect match for my bf and myself and I couldnt be happier with the purchase and discussion. What a treasure, Ill be coming by as often as I have some free income!

This store and Peggy the owner are gems! Ive been walking this block for a while now and somehow only noticed it a few years ago. I went in and purchased some gorgeous silver jewelry as a gift and ended up talking with Peggy for quite a while. I cant wait for them to have an online presence so I can support them even during these difficult times.
