My fianc and I had a wonderful experience with Boris. We brought him an heirloom ring to do a custom setting and replace the heirloom ring with a ruby. He was very responsive and accommodated special requests for us. Boris made the whole experience lovely and comfortable. I cannot recommend enough. Just go here. We shopped at other places and this place is where we felt most comfortable.

Boris helped me and my fiance creating my dream engagement ring. We had an idea of what we wanted it to look like but were completely lost when it came to the whole process and construction. Boris guided us through it all, providing excellent advice and leading us with great knowledge and expertise. We had a chance to give our opinion on every details and could craft the ring throughout the whole process. Overall we recommend 100%! My entire experience with the Malakov family, Michael in particular, was stellar. I went to nearly all the stores in the diamond district to find a jeweler to work with for my fianc's engagement ring. Michael's professionalism and character shined through from the first meeting. He was incredibly patient and understanding of my needs and wants, helping me find the jewel and designing the ring from the ground up. Michael found me the most gorgeous emerald and designed a ring that had gotten so many compliments. On top of that, he was fair with his pricing and timing and kept my informed at each leg of the journey. I cant recommend Roman Malakov diamonds enough. Their entire staff was kind and accommodating. I felt that I could trust them with such an expensive product. I cant wait to come back for future purchases!

My husband and I searched all of the diamond district before we decided to circle back to Roman Malakov - walking into the store the first time left a great impression and we immediately had a sense that we would be welcomed with a more refined experience. We were not wrong. Not to mention, RM also offered competitive pricing. Our custom design experience was a drawn out process that took several months, as I came in not being entirely sure of what kind of stone I wanted. I knew I wanted a yellow diamond ring but did not have my preferences defined beyond that, nor did I know too much about diamonds in general. Michael was very helpful and provided us with best in class service in each of our appointments. He was patient in sharing his extensive knowledge and explained the several grading criteria for coloured diamonds. Each time we met, Michael would show me something new, and through this iterative process, I began to understand what I was looking for and my vision crystallized. Once we had settled on a stone, Michael paid careful attention to note the delicate details I was looking to have in the setting. A rendering was generated after the design process was finalized, and the ring took 3 weeks to create which was fine as we were not in any rush. I must say Michael and his team were right on mark - the ring he created for me is absolutely gorgeous and is even more stunning than I imagined it would be. It looks like a work of art and the understated details in the setting were executed perfectly. I am over the moon and fall in love with it again each time I look at it. I am so grateful for the experience I had with Michael and all the patience, expertise and professionalism he demonstrated. It was an incredibly memorable experience - looking at stones through the loupe was a lot of fun! I cannot recommend them enough - if you are looking for a refined custom experience and a high quality end product, this is your place!
