We ordered 4 bottles of the Casas de Hualdo Cornicabra Extra Virgin Olive Oil and received them promptly in early December 2023. The bottles have a harvest date of "21/22" marked on them and a best before date of 03-2024. We spoke to Catalan by phone and we spoke to Maria. She asked us to see if we can use up all 4 bottles by March 2024 for example by using them for cooking. She said she would have any unused bottles picked up by UPS in March 2024. I explained that is nearly impossible and we should have received much fresher bottles and we do not use top tier olive oil like Casas for cooking. Now that we are in April 2024 we decided not to bother with calling Catalan back because of the inconvenience and instead we will just finish the now-expired last bottle of olive oil for cooking. We are ranking Catalan with four stars because Catalan sent us nearly expired olive oil. The reason we are not leaving less than four stars is because Catalan a long time ago did deliver this same Casas olive oil to us with a much better date. You might want to call Catalan before ordering from them to confirm the expiry date is 18 months out (normal for most top tier olive oils).
