No windows, bed hard as rocks and it's three shared bathrooms for an entire floor. No elevator (not sure how this is even allowed) and doors are like closet doors and lock with a key. Any body could break into your room if they wanted to. Not safe for women traveling alone. More like a homeless shelter. Should cost $40 irregardless of location just because of the nature of the building. Tprovide individual soap, shampoo, conditioner etc. Two thin towels and no wash cloth. Two coffee cups with no lids. Nice machine none of that. I was very thron off guard. I'm not going to lie and say it was dirty. It was ver

Quite clean, but very small rooms. Among the obvious advantages: There was decent service at the counter and a good Wi-Fi signal on the second floor, where I lived. Huge disadvantages: Lack of kitchen and morning coffee

I stayed at this hotel and found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. They graciously allowed for an early check-in and remained attentive and alert to all movements within the hotel. While the room itself was basic and reflected its budget-friendly nature, it provided a comfortable place for a good night's sleep. Surprisingly, the rooms effectively blocked out a significant amount of city noise on weekdays, making for a peaceful environment. However, the weekends were a bit louder. There is no AC control in the room, but temperatures ranged from 68-74. Would recommend a small travel fan for added comfort In terms of amenities, the shared bathrooms were well-maintained and conveniently accessible without the need for waits. Although they were cleaned in the mornings and in the afternoons, I found it prudent to exercise caution and wear shower shoes, as one would with any communal facility. Another highlight of the hotel's location was its proximity to the subway and a variety of great dining options, with Canal Street's delightful array of cheap street vendors just a stone's throw away. Overall, considering the hotel's affordability, convenience, and advantageous location, I would definitely stay here again. It offers a budget-friendly choice for travelers looking for a convenient base to explore the city, with the added bonus of friendly staff and nearby amenities.
