I love coming here. The staff is courteous and so nice. Dr. Gopal is amazing. She explains everything so precisely and breaks everything down for you to understand. The office has a very welcoming atmosphere.

I went to Viva Eve after Hemorrhage and finding out I had fibroids. Dr. Maass was amazing at explaining treatment options and going over test results, she listened to me and just made me feel better about everything I was going thru and looking forward to a good outcome. From my personal experience I recommend anyone woman to visit Viva Eve, Drs and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Great experience!

I decided to wait a year before reviewing this center so that I can objectively review without emotions. First time pregnancies are so hard, they are emotional, scary, anxiety filled. Changes happening to your body, so many first sensations and experiences, and uncertainties. You want the best for you and your child. It is such a precious time and it should be positive and healthy. If you prefer a more natural birth, less interventions, calm and nurturing clinicians/midviwes/doulas then this is not the place for you. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I managed with diet to the best of my ability, I exercised every day and ate exactly what my specialist planned out for me. They wanted to start me on metformin even though my sugar was under control with the diet. When I said that I’m not comfortable doing that, the specialist stated that I wanted my baby to die and that I did not care and wasn’t being smart. My obgyn changed almost every visit. I didn’t mind so much seeing different clinicians, and nurses on duty certain days. Dr. Gohar specifically mispronounced my name every time he saw me. He scheduled me to be induced at 38 weeks without discussing with me. The only reason I found out I was scheduled for surgery at Mt Sinai was because I received a text notification. I found this very unprofessional al and it made me feel uncomfortable. I told Dr. Gohar that i didn’t feel comfortable being induced so early as my pregnancy was going pretty smoothly and I felt healthy and active. He wasn’t agreeing with me but he allowed me to push the induction to 39 weeks. I had an ultrasound every visit from the first time I went there, sometimes every two weeks. I recently found out that this is unnecessary. When I saw the bills to my insurance, I realized that I am just $$$ to this facility. The receptionists were kind sometimes and some were terribly rude. I called to verify an appointment time once and the receptionist rudely responded that I should have got a call/text with a reminder but I didn’t so I had to call in order to be on time. She didn’t receive my question well. When it came time for delivery, I was in labor and drove thirty-five minutes in terribly pouring rain to go to mount sinai where my obgyn was supposed to see me. I waited over an hour in labor to be attended to. When I was attended, a resident saw me, told me I was 2 cm dilated and could go home to labor. My obgyn who was on call at that time, and was told that I was there never came to see me, to see how I was doing or to introduce herself. I won’t say her name here but she should be ashamed of herself. I went home to labor for a few more hours, then went with my gut reaction to go to Jamaica hospital which is closer to my house. I got a private room and wonderful obgyn and two nurses and a midwife and two residents plus a warm shower to labor in. I’ve never felt so cared for. I started to cry because I realized that my 9 months of pregnancy could have been a positive experience but I hated it because of the forest hills medical facility and their way of management/communication/affiliation with Mt. Sinai. I never felt like a person who was cared for or seen or heard here. By the way, I delivered at 38 weeks and 5 days so I didn’t have to be induced. I’m glad I listened to my gut and trusted myself. I had a natural birth, I let my placenta break on its own while pushing with a wonderful nurturing staff around me and had a much better birth than I was expecting. My baby boy was born at 6 lbs, he was not overweight like they were saying he would be. He was so tiny, sweet and precious. They had staff to help me learn to breastfeed my baby. I am so happy I went with my guy to have delivered at Jamaica hospital. A few days after delivery, this facility called me for an appointment and I told them I had a healthy baby delivered at Jamaica hospital, they hung up and didn’t ever call me again. I am so happy to not have heard from them ever again. I hope this review helps anyone that may be like me, wanting a more loving and nurturing pregnancy experience.
