Gym U NYC

The steam room has been closed for months and is still closed (it was not installed properly), the sauna has never opened, the faucets in the showers didnt work for months and are still iffy. Theres no bathroom on the ground floor (where the weights are) or on the second floor (where the aerobics equipment is). You have to go up three flights to find a bathroom. There is one small water fountain on the second floor. If you want to listen to a podcast or your own music, the speaker system is way too loud. Not worth the money.

I joined Gym U about 2 months ago and frankly its one of the best gyms Ive been to. And Ive been to many. My experience has been great. The equipment is top notch, the staff and trainers are helpful and pretty damn friendly. The gym and changing rooms are clean. It is not that crowded when I go, which I consider a plus. I get to use the machines I want - when I want. And the price compared to the other high end gyms is a deal. My only slight issue is that the steam/sauna are currently closed but I believe that they will soon be open. My workouts have been much more consistent because I find myself actually wanting to go to the gym.
