Update:
As of 2024, still the biggest ripoff in New York. Shopping at this place is nothing less than insulting. I've also caught them on multiple occasions overcharging at the checkout due to incorrect scale weight. FRANKS GREEDY MARKET should be their name. Inflation has given them an excuse to fleece the neighborhood residents more than any supermarket I know. Even as prices have come down in other supermarkets as supply chains have eased up, Franks prices continue to stay up and go up.

Almost every time I've bought "nice" cheese here, it goes moldy or slimy within a few days, especially if it's on sale. The prices aren't much better than a store like Zabar's where I've never had the same kind of problem.
