Worst experience ever... I sent my personal items from San Diego to Japan. They gave us a bill of loading (BL) and a handling invoice. When the cargo arrived, my end of their assigned agent told me that my document wasn't enough info to clear the customs... When I asked ShippingQuest for help, they told me something else and kept telling me to pass the BL and their invoice to my Japanese agent. However when they prepared the document, they didn't describe any items what were in the boxes.
The person who was helping me has no idea of import, export business. You need a non-commercia invoice (if personal) and a packing list to be created before ship out. It was hopeless and not professional at all. On the top of that, when I complained through email, they sent me a wrong email which supposed to be going to their staff what happened... It said customer was wrong and we don't provide the service as a part of shipper, blah...
If you are thinking to use this company, make sure that you make an invoice (Inventory List) and a packing list by yourself. If it's not a door to door service, you will end up taking care of everything at the destination. In my case, they didn't have any known agent to introduce in Japan and couldn't provide us a door to door service.
So, I had to take a day off to clear the customs and deliver 2 pallets on my own. They NEVER mentioned what we had to do before pick up. Very unkind and no interests in the status of the cargo.
Sounds very much that one click online shopping to fill their purchased space in the cargo (containers) and rip off shippers. Watch out!!

Horrible company. Quoted me 800 ended up paying 1750.
I was sending my personal valuables to my hometown. I asked the shipping quest representatives (Mary from sales and Curtis from shipment) what paperwork I need, they assured me that I need nothing because these were my personal belongings. My items reached the customs, needed some paperwork I could not get without my items on the original port. I lost the items.
ShippingQuest more like S***tingQuest.
Also, have you noticed that all 5 start reviews are from people with no past, and they only have a review about S***tingQuest?

the worst service. they try hard to gotta you and when they have all yours goods in their hands, they show up with a big oversized price for they service.. also they are a third party company which don't take any responsibility for lost, delays or damages even when they recommend buy the insurance which don't response any call. i won't recommend it even to a enemy.

SCAMMERS !!!!!!
THEY WILL SEND YOU LOWER QOUTE AND THAN AFTER YOULL AGREE TO USE THEIR SERVICES THEY WILL ASK FOR ×4 Times higher payment.
They refused to return our goods and try to make us pay the redicolous invoice.
We are going all the way in to involve the law inforcement authorities to make sure this scammers will be shut down !
