I found Dr Salas through a Google search for NYC endocrinologists when I was worried about thyroid and perimenopausal issues. Dr Salas is everything a doctor should be: genuine, caring, skilled, passionate about her subject, and deeply educated - including keeping up with the latest study findings and science which many doctors tend to fall behind on, sometimes in favor of decades-old information. Her staff is also really wonderful. I frankly feel a lot safer and better cared for in an all-female medical environment. The only thing they could do better on is their communication between appointments (through Klara) is either outstanding or non-existent. This is an important benefit to paying out of pocket, so they could benefit from more consistency in responsiveness.
