Was not going to write a review at first but ultimately don't want anyone else's dog to have a similar experience to mine, and hope that they do not. I have lived in Wash Heights awhile and was recommended to this daycare by several people in the neighborhood. Carol Ann is a lovely, kind woman however you should not bring your dog here- my dog came here for a daycare evaluation and it was a disaster, for lack of a more eloquent description. He came back with a cut on his nose (she had no idea how he got it- said he did not play at all with the other dogs), she accidentally gave away my leash/harness to another owner even though my dog was the only new one there that day (I came to pick him up from the eval, and she had no clue what had happened to the leash and harness), and then the cherry on top was that my dog got kennel cough. He is vaccinated but I am unsure how up-to-date all of the other dogs' vaccines are; who knows. I was able to retrieve the leash/harness thankfully from the other owner's house- it was about 45min away and if they had lived farther or were not home, no clue what I would have done. To her credit, she offered to buy me one from a nearby pet store, and lent me one to go home with, but it was ill-fitting and more importantly, not the one that I had brought him in. The daycare eval was complimentary but the vet bill for his kennel cough obviously was not.TLDR; if you are new to the area, go elsewhere.

We left our dog at this daycare while away on a trip and came back to him in terrible shape. His paw was so irritated that he didnt want to walk on it, his eyes were full of gunk and he could barely keep them open, and he had a runny nose. While I dont think my dog was mistreated, Carol Ann failed to communicate that anything was wrong which is a huge problem. When my husband asked her if she noticed anything while there she proceeded to say well he did have a slight cough at one point, but I called and told you. This was a complete lie, she never called him once while we were away. Since then weve had to take him to the vet twice, my dog has not been the same at all, lacks energy, is throwing up and not once has she even been sympathetic or apologetic. Instead she was defensive, rude, talked over him when he was trying to explain everything that was going on, and sounded like she was whining more than anything. We later realized that while she asked if my dog was vaccinated, she never asked for the proof and so I think she doesnt check for proper documentation- allowing anyone to leave their dog at her daycare. Lesson learned, never again.
