My wife and I were visiting New York City and decided to do some shopping for our antique porcelain and glass collections. We made an appointment with Leslie Antiques, and are really glad that we did. The owners were so friendly and knowledgeable, and had a wonderful selection of just the kind of things we liked. They also had a lot of fabulous artwork and textiles. In addition to what we already bought, I can foresee internet purchases in the future. 7 March and back in Australia As I said in my last post while my partner and I were in New York we were really blown away by a visit to Leslie Antiques. Not only by the quality of stock but their knowledge of and commitment to the things they sell. Trouble was, being Australian, we did not want to buy anything and then haul it around while we continued our American journey. It was not a problem. We were able to choose for my partner a beautiful Staffordshire pickle dish while I got an insanely wonderful composite stem Georgian wine glass and some beautiful rinsers. For quality and price we were very excited and all the more so because our goods were carefully wrapped and posted to our home in Australia. It is a fabulous store and well worth visiting in person or on the web! Dr Peter Henderson

Great selection of high quality art and antique items, at reasonable prices. They know their business, and are extremely helpful and friendly. Note that you have to call for an appointment.
