SCAMMER and INCOMPETENT. There are only 9 reviews here and they are all 5 stars, now I realize they were fake. I contacted Meny Guilln (owner) on 09/02/2023, we agreed that he would come to see the work I needed on an apartment and give me a quote for the total cost. My brother is a construction worker, so he had completed the demolition of the bathroom, had cut the Sheetrock from the wall in the kitchen, and we had already obtained all the material (sheetrock, tile, grout, vinyl flooring, etc.) needed for renovations. I was just looking for the manual work that would be required to build a standing shower, finish cutting the metal that was left on the kitchen wall (the image with 1 was the work that my brother had already done), level the floor of the apartment and install the vinyl floor. When he came and saw the work that needed to be done, he gave me an estimate of $6,000 total, this included $3,500 to build a shower, $2,000 to level the floor and install the vinyl floor, and $500 to finish cutting the wall in the bathroom. kitchen. For the bathroom he sent people who were not his own workers to build the bathroom. I only found out about this after talking to one of those workers. I have no complaints about them and they did a good job in the bathroom. But I repeat, it was not his workers! However, the rest of the work was not completed and Meny Guilln not only overcharged me, but left a mess in my house. For the kitchen he came, cut the wall and left it as seen in the photos. When I asked him if he was going to close the gaps, he rudely replied that he had never agreed to do it, he had only said he would cut the wall. I don't understand how leaving a wall in that condition is considered a complete job. If there was an additional charge, he never mentioned it. Anyway, charging $500 to leave a wall like this is crazy. For the floor, there are old pieces of vinyl that needed to be removed before the leveling cement could be placed. However, when I asked him if that would be part of the process, he spoke to me in a demeaning manner and told me that he never said he would remove the old vinyl. That his plan was to scrape some parts of the surface, dump the cement and then it would stick. No good, responsible contractor would ever think this process is acceptable. He even claimed that stripping the old vinyl was too much work and I couldn't believe he would do all that work and if I wanted that work done then it would cost me another $1000. AVOID THIS COMPANY. Only accept someone with references. It's unfortunate that I believed this man when he pretended to know what he was doing. It's a shame that he does this to working people. I wanted to support a fellow Hispanic and his small business, but it's clear that Meny just wants to take advantage of everyone and anyone.
