Mr. Kolonji Murray provided outstanding guidance and service during the preparation of my 2023 taxes. Not only was he extremely thorough and detail-oriented, but he explained the reasons behind not claiming additional deductions for my work as an educator. These deductions are only for K-12 teachers. Since I am a college professor, claiming them would be illegal, raise red flags for the IRS, and increase the likelihood of my being audited. Who wants or needs that headache?! Mr. Murray is knowledgeable, respectful, and efficient. I received both my federal and state returns two weeks after his conscientious and speedy tax preparation. I truly appreciate his service and plan to use his services every year from now on! Thank you, Mr. Murray!

TAX TITAN:
This is one of the easiest, and most heart-felt, reviews I have written. Kolonji Murray is one of those rare individuals who truly cares and seeks to be of service, and provide the best assistance to the public. I say this because I have worked with Kolonji on my taxes since 2022, and I will only continue to work with Kolonji for several reasons.
First and foremost, the 2022 tax season was extremely trying and emotionally debilitating for me because I was caring for my mother after having Stage 4 Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and two subsequent brain surgeries. During this family crisis I completely forgot to include the tax information for my business. Kolonji effortlessly and easily amended my 2022 tax return and corrected my oversight while filing my 2023 taxes. At a time when most tax professionals would have been frustrated or annoyed by this mistake, Kolonji went out of his way to ask me how my family had been coping during this traumatic time. Kolonji remained kind and professional the entire time because that is his nature as a person he puts people first.
Second, during the filing of my actual 2023 taxes, Kolonji again acted with the utmost integrity. Instead of allowing me to incur additional charges by forwarding Kolonji all of my business expenditures, he encouraged me to organize these receipts by category and create separate totals for each category. Kolonjis singular act of consideration saved me hundreds of dollars that I could not afford as a new business owner. Additionally, through his inspiration, I have now created an easy way to organize my business expenditures for future tax seasons. During this process, Kolonji also mentally prepared me to anticipate receiving letters from New York State and the federal government audit divisions. He calmly told me what the state and federal governments tend to keep an eye out for and that I should contact him as soon as I receive these letters.
Additionally, because I was building my new business under the duress of my mothers back-to-back medical crises, while working full-time as an educator, my business did not generate any income. That said, Kolonji correctly predicted that I would receive letters from New York State and the federal government requesting more information about my business. I received a request from the New York State Income Tax Audit Division for more information about my business last week and contacted Kolonji immediately.
Finally, after reaching out to Kolonji regarding the letter from the NYS Audit Division, he quickly scheduled a call as soon as possible and walked me through the entire process. In fact, Kolonji suggested that I create separate attached documents for each question pertaining to my business as this would allow me to elaborate and go into as much detail as possible. When I asked Kolonji about the fee for this service of clarifying the audit, he responded that his added support during the audit process was included in my 2023 tax preparation fee.
Simply put, Koloji Murrays Tax Assurances is the only tax preparation business I will EVER work with now and in the future. I urge every business owner, large or small, to work with Kolonji because his honesty, integrity and professionalism consistently shine through in every interaction. Kolonji Murray is the consummate professional and a true Tax Titan for all business owners.
