I dont understand why anyone wrote a bad review. Dr Jeffrey Shapero is the Best Orthopedic Doctor we have ever seen. His staff never gave me a problem and was always curious. The only sad thing to report here is I hear he is not doing surgeries any longer - but as far as treatment I wont go anyone else. You want to complain about a doctor or their staff try a Brooklyn Doctor ortho, theyre all terrible, and talk about rude staff, unbelievably rude people w/ huge attitude . We travel to Dr Shapero and I would follow him anywhere. Try him out for yourself and dont listen to negative people. Believe me it took a long time to find the quality I look for in a doctor.

I went to see Dr Shapiro after he was recommended by multiple friends who used him. After seeing me right away, he determined i needed a full knee replacement. Because of Covid he couldnt find a hospital right away so the Dr got me into LIJ right away. My surgery was 1/19/21. He was there early before the surgery to make sure i was alright. He came to see me before and after the surgery. The next day he was bedside when i woke up and also his resident came to see me before i was checked out. He did an amazing job. His staff has treated me great. I have had to refill a few prescriptions and it was simple. When i had my follow up visit a snow storm hit and i had no idea what to do. I got a phone call late Sunday night saying the dr will see you on a zoom call on Monday because he didnt want me out in a storm. The zoom call went great. He had me come in the following day with out a schedule appointment to remove my staples. Most patients had canceled with him because of the snow storm so as i was walking in he was walking out. He stopped in his tracks, he turned around and changed back into his scrubs to remove my staples. He gave me great tips and some exercises to help me improve faster. He was amazing and did more then any Dr i have ever met before. I am 100 precent confident in Dr Shapiro and his staff. I will recommend him to every friend who needs a Dr. I was struggling to find a good PT near where i live. Again because of Covid most places are limited or shutdown. He took it upon himself to get me into the NYU Langone Rusk institute which is truly amazing. I had called 12 rehab places, 1 called back and said they only do PT one day a week so take it or leave it. I left it. I cant thank him enough for getting me into the Rusk. Its the best place in Manhattan! Im on day 15 since my surgery and Im doing great. I recommend Dr Shapiro 1000 precent. Scott Walker.

A few years ago I had torn my meniscus and gone to Dr Shapiro on a trusted neighbors recommendation. I was in an immense amount of pain, he took one look at me and told me that my pain was not due to injury, but my weight (and Im not even that big) - no scans , no x rays - nada.... i went to get a second opinion from my daughters pediatric orthopedist, 2 months later when the pain did not get better, despite diet and pain medication. 10/10 would not recommend this doctor. Every person at every size deserves adequate and equal medical care.
