The therapists at this establishment are not well versed in domestic violences and child abuse. The only reason it makes money is because corrupt lawyers and judges continue to recommend and appoint them. Children are being killed by abusive parents and these are the places that are enabling it. Writing ridiculous reports saying a clearly unsafe parent should have unsupervised visits. If people are going to claim to be experts they should understand the subject matter. Abusive parents DO NOT CHANGE!!!

Kids in Common was appointed to me by the courts. I was assigned Anna as my sons therapist. This was in their Westbury office. At first he was shut down and wouldn't talk and sometimes he even refused to come to KIC until she would call and speak to him. She has been kind and warm with him. He has come a very long way now. She gave him the tools he needed to express himself and be more communicative instead of being angry and throwing temper tantrums. She guided him into finding ways that work for him to avoid those situations. I am very grateful for her and her interaction with my son.

The owner Meg was completely unprofessional. The young girl Dalia who runs the office alone each time my sons were there she was the only person in office. Her only staff doesnt seem Fully licensed or educated enough to deal with severely abused children. They advertised therapeutic services however that consisted of placing kids in a cubicle with Dalia and the abuser right away and Dalia only speak to correct abuser if he says anything inappropriate. They never contacted the kids daily therapist for any history or information on kids diagnosis. My child left crying and begging me to never return there because Dalia scared him and told him he must go into the room next time. He wet the bed that night and after telling Dalia it wasnt a good fit for the kids she proceeded to write a one sided letter to my judge, call me 3x and Tex me. It seems this place donates or is connected with Nassau family court looking to get any clients referrals because no one in their right mind would be would ever use this place. I have spoken to two other clients of theirs on the way out and both said that Dalia is not equipped to deal with small children abuse issues. Based upon all the other poor reviews I would not ever recommend this company. I found a new therapeutic specialist that actually talks to the kids and addressed all their fears and needs and who is an actual specialist in abused children. Btw both clients never met the owner either just Dalia who seems to be the only staff member. What a joke this place is should be shut down for false advertising. Not a therapeutic specialist by any means! Putting a child who has major fear and anxiety in a cubicle with Dalia and abuser, to play a board game is not therapeutic services! Owner Meg should be present in the office to monitor her only staff member.obviously Im not the only one who felt they needed to leave a poor review
