This whole office is terrible short of a few front desk people who seem to tolerate a lot. The Dr's don't care, they really don't. Frim Dr. Gieniusz to Dr Chudadama, the nurses and the manager. My mom was declining from alzheimers and got so little care there are no words. We've changed to Dr. Pearl, and at home doctor (Northwell is always full, good luck to getting help at home) and my mom's life has been transformed. She gets weekly visits, she qualified for hospice with some free supplies. My mom suffered with vaginal itchiness and an impacted ear for a whole year through this office, the Northshore ER and even a hospitalization refused to look at her ears. Don't use Northwell, it's too large and badly managed. If you must use Northwell, avoid this whole office.

She is nasty and unprofessional! She has my father going back 3 plus times after we wanted to change his pcp. Yet, she didnt want to write a letter stating he should go to an assisted living facility, yet she advised him to have someone around so they can remind him to drink water! He was falling and she told him not to drive, and again he didnt need assisted living. He is alone all day in an apartment. My mom does 4 years ago and he is declining. He is not managing on his own, and the only thing Dr. G wanted was for him to keep coming back and thats ONLY after we decided to switch physicians. Others all complaining in waiting room how they had to go back and she told them she had no more time to speak to them while they were there. Its like all the geriatric and palliative care patients are treated horribly! Its unethical and gross how she speaks to patients and has no regard for them!!!!

I'm sure others have had a positive experience with this doctor but for me, this doctor was the doctor of nothing...no plan, no accountability, no advice given, no priorities made. Hell, in the middle of the 3rd visit she said "whoever your primary care doctor is" despite the fact that I made it clear that we wanted HER to be the new primary care doctor, and she officially was in their own patient portal system. After a second visit which was contentious - I think because of lack of planning and prioritization - this doctor called to apologize and discuss my relative's care. Everything seemed all right. A couple of days later, my relative was hospitalized, and this doctor offered absolutely nothing. I asked what we should do when the relative is discharged - I was told to "call us then", for now do nothing. I asked what kind of care plan we can create for when the relative is discharged - and was again told, no plan is possible, be calm, be patient, etc. This is after an already established pattern of lack of accountability and responsibility for my relative's care. Dr. Gieniusz seemed 100% more concerned with with the way I was asking questions and with my remaining in a perfect state of calm then with my relative's health. I know this because across three visits, she discussed my point of view about twice as often as she did my relative's health, despite two hospitalizations to my relative during this doctor's care. Just one example - this doctor offered bloodwork, then offered absolutely no insight or commentary on the bloodwork. Just "it's fine." Later, it turned out that wasn't the case at all. This is demonstrable in records, and not just an opinion. Later when this doctor called to apologize after the first visit, she did manage to find something noteable in my relative's blood work - but was reluctant to take responsibility for treating the issue, advising again, that the "primary care" doctor should do the job. This was AFTER the 2nd visit of HER BEING OUR PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR. Overall, when I was looking for a plan - not a cure, not even a guarantee, not even a treatment - this doctor counseled me to be patient and calm, despite seeing my relative (don't want to disclose too much), degrade in a matter of days. I literally begged for help - please tell me anything at all that can be helpful - and I was met with advise to remain calm and patient. Again, I don't want to devalue the good she has done for others. But I felt compelled to leave this review to share my genuine experiences with this doctor. Your mileage may vary, but this has been my very negative experience with Dr. Gieniusz.
