I would have posted zero stars if I could have. Horizon Home Care is one of the worst agencies that I've been associated with so far. I needed a home aid to help me do my grocery shopping and laundry as well as take me to the bank to draw money out to pay my landlord. They set me up with a woman who was supposed to work with me 10 1/2 hours a week for 5 days 2 hours a day. She showed up the first week of January and I haven't seen or heard from her since. It seems like people tell you what you want to hear just in order to get the job and then you hire them and they start working they either expect to be able to choose their own schedule or else they will completely ghost you. The caregivers that Horizon (and most) agencies that hire people for their clients are just doing it for a paycheck and have very little (if any) compassion for the people who desperately need the help that they are supposed to be providing for them. 99% of them don't care if your house gets cleaned or if you are able get your basic needs met as long as they can get paid. Now it's two days until I desperately need a home aid to take me to get my landlord's rent money at the bank and do my grocery shopping (I'm a diabetic and besides the meds that I need I also need to eat to control my sugar levels) and the person who I was directly working with at Horizon home care just decided for some undisclosed reason, to leave for the rest of the month. Now Horizon has provided no help and I'm working desperately to get my daughter's boyfriend to travel (on icy roads) 86 miles from Rock Stream (south to North) to Syracuse (one way) to be able to help me. If I am even able to convince them to do this,I don't know what I will do if anything happens to them on account of me and the complete negligence of this agency
This is completely ridiculous and uncalled for. These agencies need to be honest with their clients instead of just telling them what they think they want to hear just to be able to grab the Almighty dollar any way that they can.

They have aides that dont show up leave the patient alone for long periods of time and most of them dont even want to do their job

If you are looking for an agency, this is definitely your fist stop! Such amazing costumer service and exceptional nice staff!
