Medina / Wildwood Lake KOA Holiday

Check-in- workers were all young girls(seemingly new)- not overly friendly but not mean- so was slow process.( not complaining just stating experience) 1 worker (I think Lela?) was very knowledgeable friendly nice and helpful to me as well as all the other workers. About an hour after arriving our 16yr old(with learners permit) drove us to the camp store on golf cart) a worker that we now know is Gabe saw us drive by and immediately reversed on his side by side to yell at us about our son driving golf cart. We told him he had permit and he said he still wasnt allowed to drive. I said Im sorry I didnt know and Gabe was still very aggressive and rude stating NOW YOU KNOW. and threatened to take golf cart. What a great welcome to what is supposed to be a fun weekend! Amazing how one person can ruin a mood so quickly!!!! Every other worker we passed on golf carts would wave and smile and were great. Cleaning ladies were also friendly. Our rustic campsite was not usable for a tent. Larger jagged rocks everywhere, the spot presumably meant for tent had smaller pebbles but was a mound and uneven. This was not a concern to us as we hammock camp but they also cut down tons of trees(we camped he last year and was plenty of trees). So campsites have less privacy and they left all trees and brush piled right on edge of campsite.(a great place for wildlife to make a home) We met at least 5 other campers that complained about sunglass side by side guy aka wannabe Hightower from police academy aka Gabe being on a power trip. But not to worry if you are a pretty young girl you can drive golf carts and do whatever and he wont hassle you! Rant over( although I could keep going)

DO NOT rent a golf cart from this KOA. We rented a golf cart for 4 days. When we got the golf cart on day 1, there was a crack in the windshield that had been glued. Throughout the week, driving on the rocky roads in the KOA caused the glue to let go. The KOA charged us an extra 200$ for a new windshield, refused to let us see camera footage they claimed they had showing no damage when it was rented to us, and then cleaned it and put it right back out for rent to the next person. Will not be returning.
