        Great place to eat! Only wish there was more parking. The owners are the nicest people. And seriously, this is THE BEST italian food in mahopac. Dantes has been a staple here for more than 30 years. More

        The young waitress I had on 2 visits is pleasant and professional. The very thin piece of veal on a wedge I had was indistinct and couldn't be tasted. Overwhelmed by bread. Kid-friendliness: I saw several families with small children.

        Ordered a large plain pie and was asked right away to pay. I was then told the pizza would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later and was asked to pay second time. Upon my original entry, no other customers was asked to pay for their orders except for myself. Mind you, I was the only person there of African American descent. I suggest people of my nationality to spend their money at the Trattoria of Carmel instead of Mahopac, the customer service in Carmel is much appreciated!!!
