Lotus + Cleaver

Heres an update. Lotus + Cleaver is now using disposal plates & bowls. What a disappointment. Portions are now substantially smaller while prices have risen. The way they serve the congee bowl now is so unappetizing. Everything is just piled together. The staff at the counter was so unpleasant Original review: Nice spot inside Jacx&Co with a variety of bowls. I got the mixed congee bowl. Congee is a traditional comfort food so I love how they incorporated fusion elements with traditional flavors. This bowl adds texture to a congee with ramen toppings and congee condiments. The result is a comfort food with a twist. Will definitely be back to try other items on their menu.

Food is pretty good, but dont expect any actual spice. The mapo tofu is so sad. Just call it lightly season tofu or something as it is actually an insult to all the actual mapo tofus out there. Other than that great fragrance in most things.

The food tasted really bland and nasty. The portions were tiny for what they charged - it was super overpriced. Took forever to bring anything. Honestly it was just bad service and bad food so cannot call it a good restaurant. We ended up leaving hungry and feeling ripped off. Would not go back or tell friends to go.
