I don't know how things used to be, but I can say for myself that I have loved this practice. I have a wonderful therapist and they are very good at communicating with me. I honestly recommend this practice.

What you get out is what you put in here, I've found. Nearly every place is understaffed and overworked these days. Be prepared to be a strong advocate for yourself, and follow up to make sure meds get ordered, appointments made, etc.

Please if anyone out there is struggling, I know its hard to find a therapist around Kingston for your insurance but PLEASE do not choose this facility. I had gone for months and left because no one their genuinely cares about mental health. Just their paychecks. They'll change your therapist at the blink of an eye after months of treatment. Do yourselves a favor, this place will only worsen your mental health.

I went here looking for help, just someone to at least talk to as a therapist or counselor for my issues. I have depression, anxiety ,OCD ,and social phobia. I needed someone just to listen to me but they said they don't do that there. I must be willing to work hard and do activities, group sessions and show progress. I'm hanging on by a mental thread and they want to make it harder not easier. I can barely talk on the phone to people and function in daily life some days and they expect me to "work hard" and show improvement as it will be expected of me. I just wanted to talk to someone regularly. Sure if I improved it would be fantastic, but I've had these problems my entire life and don't expect unrealistic changes .I thought they always say help is there ,don't be afraid to ask for help but that's just a load of crap.I went through their intake program ,got absolutely nowhere and felt worse afterwards. I would have thought they of all places would have at least had someone there who would be available for these sorts of sessions . I have to keep looking for someone elsewhere since this place is just a bad joke.

This "behavioral health center" is one of the most frustrating experiences I've had to suffer through mentally and emotionally. I watched a family member struggle to get service during a mental health emergency. We were discharged from the hospital with a referral to Family Services where the communication was next to impossible. We couldn't get through most of the time to make an appointment and when we could, they were very far out. Then, when the date came they would either COMPLETELY FORGET AND DISREGARD the appointment or the psychiatrist could not figure out how to use zoom so would "reschedule" by having a receptionist call us to set it up. Which usually didn't happen. We were only really seen one time and were so rushed that the psychiatrist didn't even have a picture of my family member's symptoms and asked questions at the end that baffled me and made me realize she didn't even comprehend the medical history and then proceeded to write a prescription for medication...which was then never sent to the pharmacy. We called to try and understand what happened and couldn't get through. They were closed but supposedly had staff 24/7 for emergency situations but we couldn't get any help. Some serious medications can't be missed, especially after only recently being discharged from the hospital. We very nearly had to go to the ER. This facility is dangerous. We couldn't reach a supervisor to report our experience. AS OTHER REVIEWS HAVE SAID THE COMMUNICATION IS BEYOND TERRIBLE. I understand there is a mental health crisis and professionals are overloaded but when even the bare minimum can't be provided...don't accept new clients and play with their lives. We're doing much better with a specialist. I hope everyone struggling can get the help they deserve, don't give up
