Without the help of Sarah Rakov during my divorce, I know that I would not have had the successful outcome I did. Mrs. Rakov took on an extremely difficult case which was my divorce. Sarah was not just an attorney to me but became an integral part of my support team. At my greatest low, Sarah encouraged me to keep going and together we would get through what seemed to be a loosing battle. Sarah gave my case the time and attention that was needed to be successful in court. Sarah's expertise with child custody, family court, countless hours of navigating a system that at times I just wanted to throw my hands up was reassuring. Her calm and confident presence during very difficult court proceedings was far beyond my expectations. Sarah's knowledge of the law allowed her to walk the extra mile and gave me a comfort in knowing without hesitation I would get through the most difficult chapter of the my life. I had many years and battles in Ulster County Family Court with my child’s father. If you have ever had this experience you know it can be overwhelming to say the least. Unlike other public defenders I had received, Sarah always on top of my case. I was never treated differently than those who could afford an attorney. Sarah always made time and when she was in her busiest days she made sure her secretary reached out to help. I was always acknowledged. Sarah always fought her best for not only me but also my child. Sarah showed nothing but professionalism, integrity and care.
And yes... she helped us win our case.

Horrible. Don’t hire for family law. A lot of time and money wasted on a custody matter and in the end the child is the one who will suffer due to her incompetence.
