It was a great place 11 years ago before I moved away as far as the kids and parents were always treated with respect. The children were taught so much knowledge to help them prepare for the world. As far as being apart of the staff I was happy to have gotten out. I am so glad that I left and now have a better job and life. My job pays a whole lot more for the work we provide and we are able to get a recommendation if we decide to better ourselves and go to a different job of employment. When I work here and left I was treated horribly and because of management I could never follow my dream of wanting to be a teacher. So sad that as African Americans we cant help each other which is why the world is the way it is. I thank God I was able to get out when I did. There was a lot of favoritism especially if you were apart of someones family in leadership or close friends with them they would also get the better treatment and nothing you said mattered. I am thankful to God that he took me away because he knew I could not deal with anymore of being treated the way I was. Both of my parents passed away while I was working there and it seemed as though once that happened I was treated much worse. My mental health was all messed up from working here and to this day it is hard for me to trust my employers no matter where I have worked. I have finally been at my current job for 5 years because my management team has been working with me to gain trust and they treat me like a person. I also remember one morning I came to work with a severe cut on my leg is would not stop bleeding and because two teachers in my classroom were out that day they gave me band aids which did nothing but continuously fill up with blood and I was forced to stay at work with 18 toddlers while almost bleeding to death. They denied me of medical attention and now I have so many problems with this leg and often cant put pressure on it. This is sad but true.
