Ive been there a few times.
After having lived in a few states, and seen many many liquor stores my observation is Bottles & Cases has a lack of selections. Twice I and there to look for bottles that are VERY common in restaurants and liquor stores. But they didnt have them.
This latest time, I inquired. Why would they not have such great value. Very common selection (one CA Cabernet, another aged Rum) They explained that there isnt enough floor space to carry too many choices.
Not enough floor space? The place is huge. The two other liquor stores in the area, not as big, carry both. When I pressed this person about choices, I got an explanation about inventory and stocking. I didnt bother giving him my explanation of the customer - service relationship: Customer is always right!
A better answer was they will offer to special order. Or look into carrying these items, because WHO KNOWS, maybe I know something about it after decades of enjoying them.
This place was floor to ceiling stocked with things I couldnt find and also stocked with bad attitude toward the customer.
Last insult to injury was their up-sell at the register to spend a little more for a free bottle.
This place didnt feel like a place for aficionados. Or an all-in superstore that has it all.
I did walk out with a few bottles. But not what I hoped for and with a negative experience.
So. Why even give the 3 stars? Great parking. Clean, well lit store. Just be open to what THEY want to sell, or pressure you into buying.

We bought 5 cases of wine during a sale, and 3 bottles in one of the cases were bad, smelled and tasted like mildew. I didn't immediately call to complain, because we were waiting to see how the rest of the case was. We also had an issue with a different wine having foil, but no cork. I just called and spoke to Charlie, who said I can bring in the bad bottles, and they'll look into it, but because it had been 4 months, he wouldn't necessarily replace them; because they didn't know how they were stored? Really? Did we deliberately take the cork out of another? We have been loyal customers for years. How about apologizing for the inconvenience and replace the bottles? We have never complained before, and this is their customer service. Shame on you!
