Edit 2: Screenshots removed bc realized Google does not allow phone#s/specific info and had my *updated* review on hold for months. Please read on down for my awful, racist experience with Hardev Singh showing me a room in a house.
Update: I've posted screenshots of my call logs, as before I even wrote this review, I had already tried calling the #you provided here along with the #516-605-**** I had been speaking with Hardev Singh through.
The Property Professionals Realty broker named Hardev Singh lied to me about the apartment being ready to move into. Hardev Singh asked me to come meet the landlords and to **please bring the money**. I asked Hardev Singh if it could wait, as I can't take such a large amount of money out on the weekend from an ATM as the banks were already closed. Our interview went well and the landlords told me we could move in after a day or two when the broker has a new key made.
I left a message for Hardev Singh to advise that I now had the money because it was Monday and could go into a bank now to withdraw. I didn't hear from him after a couple of days about my money or the key, so I called to see what's up and said that I'm not comfortable holding onto a large amount of cash indefinitely. The broker denied that it was decided we were moving in.
I have no idea why, and the broker would not provide me with an explanation. I hope the Property Professionals Realty broker agent or the landlords were not being prejudiced against my Black boyfriend (whom the broker didn't meet until my bf and I both met the landlords on the last day), but I can't think of why we couldn't move in after the Landlords told us, especially since he offered zero reasons. (My bf felt awful right after the showing, telling me the landlord made him feel extremely uncomfortable; Hardev Singh certainly didn't help, especially with this resulting nonsense.)
I tried speaking with Hardev Singh yet again about my experience a few weeks later to sort out any misunderstandings, but he denied he'd ever spoken to me or knows anything about the apartment he showed me in-person with the landlords present.
Look at all the 5-star reviews on here: THEY ARE FROM PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR THE COMPANY, quite the lying, conflict of interest. (edit: It looks like they removed the blatant ones from a couple years ago.)
People are telling me I should have reported you to real estate's NYS Board immediately.
How dare you accuse me of lying in your response!
