We called Ray Scudder after another company gave us a questionable assessment of our cesspools. When I called to make the appointment, the wife of the owner spoke to me for 25 minutes on the phone to try to troubleshoot the issue. She was so informative and patient! Tommy came to the house, explained everything he saw, serviced the cesspool, and was very professional! After the service call, I spoke with Bob, the owner, and he was equally kind and helpful! This is a company you can trust!

The whole crew at Scudder did a great job dealing with the septic system at the house I moved into in October 2022. It was unclear where the septic tank and cesspool were located and there were no obvious access points. I had good reason to believe it hadn't been pumped out in 15+ years and I wanted to head off any disasters that might happen over the winter after the ground had frozen.Tommy came out and pretty quickly located what appeared to be the septic tank's cover, around one foot below grade. But in the course of doing that we initially discovered that an electrical conduit was running right over top of the cover and later discovered that a few irrigation lines were too! After getting the utilities marked out by an outside party (a whole other story!), Tommy came back, dug out the area around the cover and the obstructions and was able to slide the cover off. (Fortunately, there were a few inches between the conduit and the cover. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case with the irrigation lines so with my permission he cut those and I'll get someone to deal with them later.) The pump-out process was...extensive. So I'm glad I had it done proactively.It was a pleasure to work with Tommy, Bob, and Lisa at Scudder!

I needed a pump out and not knowing much of the process I was recommended to use them.  We had used a precious company who wasn't even pumping us out completely so he was coming back yearly.  A total scam.  First Lisa was amazing, knowledge and professional and told me all we needed to know about pumping out the cesspool.  Tom came and pumped us out, the truck had a gauge I could see it being filled up.  He pumped, hydro jetted, put chemicals in and off he went.  Def def recommend this company.  Reliable and so confident he did the right thing for us.  Thank you.

Called Ray Scudder's @ 6:30a when I realized my cesspool needed pumping ASAP. Bob (the owner) quickly called back and showed up at the time he promised. He provided honest, fast and excellent service at a reasonable price. To top it off, he's one of the nicest guys you'd want to meet (and my dog loved him too)! Highly recommended! Thanks Bob!
