        Had contract written for Kerosene with initial delivery at $4.99:gallon in June. Snuck in a one week period for the delivery. When I asked for delivery date within days of the agreement, I was told they had no kerosene, but dont worry, of course we will honor the price. Called in the Fall for a delivery. You guessed it, price was now $7.99, I guess I should have known they didnt have product during that one week in June, and that the person writing the contract had no authority to write contracts, or make promises. Calls, letters all ignored. This is why people cant trust anyone . . . ever. Deceitful and duplicitous

        This company is a scam and should be put out of business. Our gas oven died and after crunching numbers we decided to switch to an electric oven. We had a full tank of propane for our previous gas oven. We have been paying an annual rental fee for the tank since 2022. After installation of the new oven we called Kimlin to cancel service. We were told we can have the propane tank removed at our cost or return it ourselves to their headquarters and have the remaining propane pumped out our cost. Failing to do either would result in owing another years rental fee. When my husband disconnected the tank he found a sticker from another company indicating that our tank was not in fact owned by Kimlin. The most recent invoice from Kimlin states the tank was installed on 11/19/2019. Thats funny because we closed on the house on 11/15/2019 and the tank was included in the sale of the house. When we returned the tank the technician informed us that they swap out tanks every 12 years and ours is actually 73 years old. Kimlin claimed ownership of this tank, which was not theirs, and charged us annual rent on it with no legitimate proof of ownership, and then tried to charge us to discontinue service. An absolute scam of a company.

      Hi Caitlin. I'm sorry for the bad experience you had with our company. The original customer we set that tank for was #409 so that was a very old tank! My grandfather probably installed that tank. When he first started our company he bought many of his tanks from other companies because that's all he could afford. Is super common to find other companies names on each other's tanks. Even now I buy refurbished used tanks vs new tanks by the tractor trailer load. If you have time and want, I can find the original work order in our basement, that should clear up your concerns. The discrepancy on the date of install is because in our computer system we "move the tank" from one account to another. So when they opened your new account we "moved the tank" changing the instal date. The history is still kept in the system but that separated the accounts so you won't see the previous owners information. Hope that clears it up! I had a electric range in my rental unit in college, it was the worst!
