The front desk guy was friendly. Room didnt have toilet paper but someone brought it up 15 minutes later. Sheets, pillow cases and towels were not laundered well and looked unclean. I only used my own face towel. Shower water did not get hot. I found stains, dirt, hair under the mattress cover but no sign of bedbugs. Carpet between the beds was gross, keep your socks on. We had no other hotel options and were stuck here. A stink bug flew onto my husband twice in the middle of the night. He caught it and flushed it down the toilet waking us both up. Walls are paper thin. The paint on the bathroom wall near the counter and light switch was like powdered chalk and came off on everything that touched it. Had to clean my sleeves multiple times. Room was poorly ventilated and stuffy and gave my husband clogged sinuses. Breakfast was advertised but was no more than a few pieces of fruit, yogurt and a harsh smelling pot of coffee that we passed on. The only good thing was that the room didnt smell like smoke but the whole hotel smelled musty. No more red roof inns for us even if its the only option.

The room was dirty. There was trash, dust, and crumbs behind every piece of furniture. The backyard next to the river was beautiful, but the dock was in dangerous disrepair. This was during the eclipse, so I assume that the staff was overwhelmed. You may have a different experience with the room.

For booking months in advance for the 4/8/24 eclipse, I had to really fight to get the one last room only becaise it had issues. Somebody else got the room I was already reserved for. Issues: missing smoke/CO detector in the ceiling (gaping hole with wires hanging out), banging loud bathroom fan, bedside drawer (with Gideon's Bible) had sticky spills and a candy wrapper, sink counter, mirror and toilet wasn't thoroughly sanitized, floors needed vacuuming/swiffer. TV remote not working. I even checked for bed bugs - no evidence in the mattress seams, but still vigilant and kept clothes/suitcase in the tub. Found no evidence but still, after flying on planes all day, I was happy to keel over with that. For a minute there I thought I'd be sleeping in the car. Big thanks to Rob and Rosa for straightening out the booking fiasco. Now on to the big event! (and very bad traffic).

My mother and I stayed the weekend. The guy at the front desk Sai is rude. He doesnt know his job at all. I dont know if its lack of training or he just doesnt care. I had to get help from a guy that lives here and also helps out a lot. I forgot his name but he has TONS of Christmas decorations on his door and a Christmas tree in his window. To make a long story short I was about to leave and find other accommodations but this guy convinced me to stay and give the hotel a chance. If it wasnt for him I would have left for sure. Sai seemed like he could care less and VERY Lazy.
