Outstanding Veterinary Care! Highly recommend! Dec 26 2023 I was visiting family in Lyons, NY for the first time 8+ hours away from my home in Forest, VA when my dachshund Evie injured her back. I have done some research on IVDD and knew time was of essence when injury occurs and I needed to get her to a doctor as soon as possible. After calling several locations, Cornell was at max capacity and they recommended Dr. Dewey at Elemental Pet Vets. I called and they said she could be seen as soon as we arrived so we immediately made the trip from Lyons to Freeville. Dr. Dewey came right out to the waiting room to assess Evie with the assistance of Austin. He was thorough, kind, and compassionate. He gave me his recommended course for treatment and answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. Evies treatment consisted of crate rest and Gabapentin for pain management and she has healed completely. Dr. Dewey is a brilliant doctor with many years of experience and expertise, and my only regret is that his practice is so far away from Virginia! Thank you Elemental Pet Vets for helping in our time of need, the day after Christmas.

Can't say enough great things about Dr. Dewey and his team. Quick and accurate diagnosis with an MRI. Great communication and service at every step. Surgery wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. A month later our dog is running and playing again.

Great experience with Dr. Dewey and staff at EPV. Our 2 year old dog, Kai, has seizures sometimes when he's excited/running around/playing fetch and started having seizures 3 weeks after we adopted him. Dr. Dewey explained everything very well to me. As a pet parent, it was what I needed. We hope that the meds and Neurocare food will keep him seizure free. He had a rough start to his life and is afraid of new people but everyone was very kind to him. Thank you!!
