Beware: if they take over your building, they'll throw you out. They will gut the place and raise the rent. I was one of the people RedBrick evicted along with 50 apartments worth of my neighbors in Greenpoint. First they ran out our leases and made us all month to month (while jacking up the monthly rent to squeeze every last drop out of us) and then they served us all with eviction notices. Some people were told to leave on New Year's day. There were moving trucks lining the block every weekend as we all disassembled our lives in the snow. We tried to fight it and worked with St. Nick's, but to no avail. RedBrick even sneakily sent someone to our tenants' rights meeting and he stayed quiet spying on us until the end when he began lecturing us about the free market. Scumbags.

These guys are totally crook developers. They do a sloppy job on renovating apartment blocks and leave work unfinished. I do not recommend working with them or leasing an apartment from them.
