Commonpoint Queens' Central Queens (Formerly known as Central Queens Y)

This center is terrible with handling customer service and the needs of their users. I will be visiting as a l4l applicant. I am driving home from college. On campus. Simply to attend this orientation. When I filled out the form, there was no choice except for an in-person orientation. Yet, I hear from my peers that a zoom call was provided to dorming students. I emailed MANY DAYS ago asking to reschedule. They got back to me TODAY, the DAY OF THE ORIENTATION, and told me I never emailed them and that my only choice is to call the place at 10 AM. My first call got picked up, and transferred to the FITNESS DEPARTMENT. My second call got picked up, and the lady said what is ladders for leaders? SYPD? WHAT IS SYPD ??? After that, my calls were never received again because their mailbox if full. This mailbox was a hold line. How is it possible to have a full HOLD LINE? The lack of organization, accountability, and pathetic usage of resources at this establishment warrants zero stars and an end to public funding. I hope this community center crumbles as hard as its phone line.

Fraudulent charges without authorization. After I cancelled my membership there last year, they still charged us without authorization. Kept calling and emailing, no respond. After endless calls and emails last year, they finally stopped their fraudulent charges without any refund. Now they just started again. The only thing I can do next is call the bank and and get a new credit card and report to the city - 311 and BBB. Be very careful handing them your payment info when you sign on, they can't be trust.

We recently had my daughters birthday party at the pool. It was a great success! We absolutely loved everything. Jasmine was fantastic! She was communicating with me all the time leading up to the party. She went over every detail with me. Kids loved her. She entertained them in the water and upstairs in the party room. She played games with them. She helped to set up all decorations and she served food to everyone. She is a fantastic host. We definitely recommend having birthday parties at the Common Point. We were very happy with the whole experience.

I went there yesterday for my daughter for the first time took a swimming class its so complicated to find someone to talk to .. and the front desk know nothing about my questions and the swimming class about 45 minutes but the real time was only 25 minutes because when i got there on time the teacher was teaching 2 kids and i have to wait till they are done that supposed to be like that? We paid for the full price but the lesson was not worth the price!
