I brought my cat to Animal Dental Specialists of Upstate New York because my cat had to have all of her teeth removed due to stomatitis. They were detailed, thorough, and communicative - they explained the process to me every step of the way, and were attentive in their follow-up after the surgery. I was very anxious about having the surgery done, as it was invasive and expensive, but I am very glad I entrusted my cat to the folks at ADSUNY. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing dental care for their pets. Follow-up 6 months post-surgery: My cat is doing very well! Her mouth is fully healed and she is happy and healthy. Very grateful for the excellent care she received at ADSUNY. :)

The care in which everyone there provides to our cats has been nothing short of spectacular. They are all so kind, caring, and knowledgeable in their treatment of animals. Our two boys needed full extractions and with their care and expertise, we are beyond thrilled with their progress now and would recommend anyone in need of similar services to Dr. Davis and the rest of the staff there. Definitely A+

The vets and staff were so kind and wonderful and sweet to my dog. However, the estimate for pulling some of his teeth was $7,000 ?!?!?! How do you expect anyone to afford that? Do you think I have an extra $7,000 dollars lying around? Seven thousand dollars. Seven thousand !!! I left your office and had a panic attack in my car because I thought that there was nothing I could do to help my dog. We called The Jefferson Animal Clinic in Brookville, PA (who removed some of our dog's teeth when we first adopted him from the shelter) and they got him an appointment, scheduled it for three days later, and extracted the rest of his teeth (among the battery of tests they provide) for $400 total. He is completely healthy and healed now. What makes your practice think it's okay to charge that much? Because you use some new fancy equipment and are specialists in dog dentistry?? Because you're in NY state and the cost of living is higher?? I am fully aware that these surgeries are expensive-- I was expecting it to put a dent in my credit card... but, again, SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS. Brookville, PA is like 5 hours away from Fayetteville, NY. If anyone needs an emergency dog dentist, you could drive down there, rent an Airbnb for a week, schedule a consult, and get the surgery done that same week, and go home without spending anywhere near the $7,000 that this place is charging. Now listen, I'm sure your practice is soooo much better than this tiny one in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania and your doctors are top of the line blah blah blah so you get what you pay for and blah blah blah... if a vet can do this for $400 why would the same procedure cost $7,000 here?

The folks here are incredibly professional and compassionate. Scheduling a consultation was easy. They also have a waitlist and can call or text you if an earlier appointment opens up. The vet has a lot of dental expertise (like way, way more than most general practice vets that we've had over the years) and explains things really clearly. They take photos of your pet's mouth so you can actually see what's going on. It only took 2 weeks after our consultation to get our cat's dental work done (vs. a 4-6 month wait at our regular vet). She was so well-cared for on the day of her dental surgery, and they made our aftercare instructions for her super easy to follow. She went back for two complimentary checkups, just to make sure everything was healing well (she had a lot of stitches!). I would recommend this practice to anyone with a pet who needs dental work -- they provided exemplary care. We'll definitely be returning if any pets need dental surgery in the future.
